Last week shopping downtown with my sister we happen to walk by a newly open Rexall 250 University Ave. on the corner Queen St. and University Ave. There was a couple of employees at the entrance greeting and handing out coupons for $5 off when you spend $25. With the coupon in hand we explored the store which looks like they just finish renovations. The cosmetic section was a descent size with most of the drug store products and a small selection of high end cosmetics. I did purchased some new drug store products to test out that you will see at the very end of this post. Anyways here is my review for one of the products I purchased that day.
Loreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution $10-15 cdn for 200mL
The Loreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution is a cleanser and make up remover in one with no rubbing or water to rinse off that leaves a soothing feeling. It is fragrance free and hypoallergenic which is great for sensitive and dry skin. The packaging for this product could be a little better. When squeezing the product onto a cotton pad some of the liquid does spill over the bottle or sink. I think if they use a pump it would make it easier to use and less waste of product.
I swatch some daily use make up on my arm that consist of eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, liquid foundation, waterproof mascara and long wearing eyeliner.
This is the after the use of the Gentle Micellar Solution. I only did one wipe with no rubbing in the above photo. As you can see it removed all the makeup very well aside from the waterproof mascara which is very hard to remove without the use of a waterproof eye makeup remover. The solution did not leave my skin feeling tight rather it left a soothing feeling as it states on the package. Even though this removes all traces of my non waterproof makeup I still use a cleanser just to make sure my skin is clean before heading to bed which is just something I normally do with any other makeup remover. The Loreal Sublime Soft Gentle Micellar Solution is a pretty good product that I would consider repurchasing in the future. It is great for someone who may need a quick change of makeup, nights when your exhausted and just want to go to bed and sensitive skin.
