I received my November Luxe Box by Loose Button today. I love the things inside and can't wait to try them out especially the benefits toner. They change the packaging in October and I've been receiving Luxe Box since sometime in July or even early on a monthly basis. I wasn't able to do a post on them since I was super busy and by the time I got to it the month was over and a new one has arrive. Anyways onto this months Luxe box.

I bought theses two nail polishes last week at Shoppers Drug Mart. They are both part of the new collection for fall. The Quo polish by Orly is extremely pigmented and I only use one coat. It has really fine glitters the bigger glitters were added on with OPI's teenage dream (love love need the bigger bottle for this one!!) I would like to try more Quo by Orly nail polishes since I am quite happy with this one. They are on sale this week at Shoppers for $8.99.

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Palette

I am finally back with a make up post after months of being away. I miss it but at the same time it was just so hard to get back into the groove.

I first saw this Wet n Wild Palette at Walmart way back in the summer around early August if I recall correctly. I've been using this since the day I bought it and never gotten a chance to review it nor take photos since I was so busy working. I read in the US Walmart is the only retailer to carry the Wet n Wild 8 palattes and as I've seen in Toronto (Canada) it is only available at Walmart as well. These palettes can be hard to find since there were a few times I saw the shelves being empty because I was looking to get the other 2 palettes which I was finally able to get my hands on last month.

All the colours are extremely pigmented aside from the lighter shades a little product goes a long way. The colours are really beautiful especially the definer shade on the bottom right side of the palatte which is a duochrome finish. Like most drug store eyeshawdows they are more powdery than the higher end shawdows so do expect some fall out but a little dust of face powder when your done will solve the problem. I just can't believe how great the quailty of theses shadows and for such an amazing price!!! I personally aren't really a fan of drugstore eye shadows but the Wet n Wild ones are my fave as of now. Swatches for the other 2 palattes will be posted shortly once I swatch and photograph them.

July Luxe Box by Loose Button

This is my second Luxe box and I'm happy with the samples I received. Since both boxes(may and july) had nail polish in them and in colours I don't own. Here is a little background on what a Luxe Box is. It is a monthly subscription service that the people at Luxe Box will hand pick 3-5 deluxe samples ranging from hair care, skin care, makeup and fragerance. That are delivered to your door step via Canada Post in a beautifully packaged box. The cost of 1 month is $12, 3 months $36 and a year is $120.

Inside the box there is a card stating what is included inside the Luxe box and a little note to you. The deluxe samples are wrapped in turquoise tissue paper closed with a Luxe box sticker. The outter packaging of the box is so pretty with black ribbion wrapped around and tied into a bow.

July Luxe Box includes: Essie Nail Polish "in stitches" (full size), Stella in Two Peony Fragrance, Consonant eye and face cream and Trucco Jumbo pencil " divinity" (full size)

Note: Not every box has the same nail polish colour or jumbo pencil colour. Also in the product card it stated there was an eyeliner instead of the jumbo pencil. So selection of colours vary from box to box. I would of like the eyeliner more than the jumbo pencil.

So for those of you who are interested in trying this service out go to Luxe Box by Loose Button and order your box for August. You still have time!!! Is a pretty fun service since you don't know what you are getting in the box and is a surprise waiting for you to discover.

My first time camping - Kearney Lake

I went camping for the first time the past weekend in Algonquin Park, Kearney Lake. It was a fun experience. Thank god we didn't see any bears since the people at our camp ground said they saw a bear the pervious day. NOTW- OPI Silver Shatter and Essie Coat Azure

I finally got my hands on the OPI silver shatter!!! Since most of the stores I've checked either sold out or didn't recieve shipment yet so I decided to order mines off ebay. I got tired of looking and calling stores up for it. It cost about $2cdn well less if you use ebates. Another love is the Essie Sspring collection French Affairs. I have the mini set that includes: topless and barefoot(love this!!), french affairs, nice is nice and coat azure. I had been wearing theses colours on and off for the past couple of months especially topless and barefoot.

Ottawa Tulip Festival

The past weekend I went on a weekend trip to Ottawa for the first time. The purpose of the trip was to see the Canadian Tulip Festival. Aside from a horrible tour bus experince the trip was pretty fun and exciting. The first day wasn't too fun since we went to not so exciting places that doesn't have much to see. It also rain all weekend :( The second day there was probably the best out of the two. Went to tour Parliment Hill, see more tulips and finally cave in to try Beaver Tails!! It was a bit too sweet for my liking...maybe it was just the one I ordered. We did a lot of eating as well during this trip...we opt out of following the tour group since all they eat at were Chinese buffet. I personally am not a fan of Chinese buffet since my stomach would hate me for the next little while if I ate that much grease lol. All the tulips at Commissioner Park in Ottawa are not full bloom yet so if you go this weekend there are still lots to see!

So before we check out of the hotel, I took a pic of my make up bag. I also pack extremely light and last min as well. I pack all my things at 2am in the morning and had to leave for the bus stop at 6am. Which isn't a good idea since I forgot to pack a few things but I live without them for a day.

Anna Sui Dolly Girl Lipstick

I recently purchase my first Anna Sui product a few days ago. It is the limited edition Dolly Girl lipstick. The Dolly Girl collection consist of 3 Mascaras and 3 Lipsticks. I purchase this lipstick because I thought the package was pretty cute and lovely to pull out of your bag to use while out. I wish I purchase the yellow package one instead and it was my first choice but after swatching it...it seem a bit sheer so I purchase the blue package instead. Now regretting it because is a bit dark on my lips but I do like it. The one thing I don't like about this lipsticks is the fruity scent. It is a very moisturising lipstick that goes on sheer but can be buildable to a medium coverage.

The lipstick is so hard to photograph its true colours. Is more of a magenta pink than a red. So the photo isn't true to the lipstick colour in real life. The lipstick also has the doll face inprint which I thought was super cute. I hold off using it for a day and finally took it out for a test drive. Sorry didn't take any swatch pics.

Size: 1.5 fl.oz (44 ml)

The product is 97% Natural, Paraben free, Phthalate-free, Lanolin-free, Dye-free, Dermatologist tested and Hypoallergenic. There is a blue one that is unscented for those who are sensitive to scented products. I didn't like the scent free one because even thought is scrent free it has a weird scent to it. The cucumber scent one reminds me of BBW cucumber melon scent a lot. The packaging of this is super cute and small so it doesn't take up a lot of room. It is also very fast obsorbing so your hands don't have a sticky feeling and very moisturings as well. The only downside to this is that if you live in Canada is a lot harder to find and is double the price of what it cost in the States even when our Dollar is higher than theirs. Why are we still paying so much more??? I love EOS products their packaging is just too cute to resist!! For those who live in Toronto, I purchase the lotion at Eaton Center RW&Co.

Foodie Review: Guu SakaBar

I finally had a chance to try out the newly open Guu SakaBar. They just open last Sunday to be exact. Unfortunately I was busy that day or I would of went since I had been stalking them on twitter to find out when the opening day was. I am a big fan of Guu ever since I tried Guu with Garlic in Vancouver a couple of years ago. They do not take reservations and the seating hour limit is 2hrs. So I do recommend arriving early when they open to avoid waiting in line for a couple of hours but the wait is well worth it! I was lucky enough to not wait in line since we arrive early (around 5pm ish) on Friday before the dinner rush but when we were leaving there was quite a few people lining up outside of their waiting area.

Since it was too busy when we arrive we ask to be seated in the tatami room. Before you enter the room you must remove your shoes and put it on the shoe rack or the closet. The Tatami room is good for small groups. It is comfortable since you don't need to have your legs cross for the dinner there is leg room and the tatami mats are cushioned.

Guu Ramune

A portion of ramune sales go towards helping Japan. So if you do go to Guu please purchase one to help Japan!! We also order alcoholic drinks as well but not pictured. They were really delicious as well.

BBQ Pork on Rice with Mustard Mayo

This bbq pork taste different from your regular bbq pork from a chinese resturant, is has more glaze to it. I love the mustard mayo it really complimented the dish very well. The bbq pork is served on top a bed of rice and lots of the yummy glaze sauce to go with the rice!

Seared BC Tuna Sashimi with ponzu sauce and garlic chips, green onion

The seared tuna was delicious! I absolutely love tuna sashimi and this one reminded me so much of the one they offer at Guu with Garlic in Vancouver. The seared tuna just melts in your month. Even though I'm not a fan of garlic but the garlic chips do go so well with this dish. I do hope they will have this dish the next time I go to Guu SakaBar!!

Takoyaki Gratin

An interesting twist to the oringal takoyaki dish. There are actual takoyaki balls top with potatoe and lots of cheese!! and red candied ginger. I highly recommend this dish to people who love cheese because this is a pretty cheesy dish but I prefer the traditonal takoyaki.

Rice Burger

This dish is delicious! A wonderful asian style burger with rice and seasame seed as a bun filled with grilled pork, cabbage and garlic mayo. I really like the rice bun. This is a must try dish!!!

Carbonara Udon

This dish is like a mix of Italian with Japanese cuisine. The texture of the udon is very interesting with the carbonara sauce mixed with bacon, half boiled egg and top with seaweed. I find this dish a bit too saucy but for those who love sauces and bacon this is a good dish to try!

Goma Zukushi

This is probably the best seasame ice cream dessert I had ever had!!! Look how pretty it is presented! It has seasame wafer, seasame balls filled with red bean paste and fried seasame filled rice balls (the ones you normally find in chinese dessert soup) and then top with a scoop of delicious seasame ice cream. This was also another delicious dessert that my sister got. I only tried a spoonful and it was yummylicious. It was made with guu'd sake. Definitely a yummy asain version of tiramisu another must try.

I haven't done a food review for awhile but since I had been anticipating to go to guu for a good couple of week, I'm super happy that I finally went and love the food. It is definitely one of my fave places to eat along with the other Guu ...Guu Izakya. My sis and I did order a lot of food for two people. We were both extremely full when we left. I went to the MAC/Estee Lauder warehouse sale on Sunday with my friend. I was lucky enough to get tickets from a reader who email me if I was interested in attending this sale. Bindra, thank you so much for the tickets!! My friend and I had a amazing time shopping at this sale. This was my first time attending the sale and as I had read from bloggers and YT the prices are higher than previous sales and selection wasn't so great. This nail polish is not available in Canada. You can go across the border and hunt it down or do what I did order it from ebay for about $9 cdn which includes shipping. A few weeks later it will arrive in your door step. I read this is a fairly close dupe for the Chanel Paradoxal that was also release for fall 2010 and sold out.

The polish is lighter than photographed is more the colour of the bottle. It is a beautiful dark muted purple. Love it for fall and winter time.

MAC Wonder Woman

Orginally I wasn't going to purchase anything from this collection since I wasn't a fan of the packaging. I like the outter packaging better than the product packing. For those who are comic lovers or manga lovers will probably like this collection. So, how did I got sucker into purchasing an item from this collection? My sister wanted to check this collection out because she likes the packaging. So while she was swatching away...I did the same as well. The lipstick my sis wanted was sold out at most of the MAC stores/ counters we went to and online as well. While I was running some errands I drop in the MAC Pro store on Bloor St. to see if they have this lipstick that my sis wanted and they did have some in stock and I ended up buying one for myself as well. Since is a really good every day kind of lip colour. The Pro store had all the lipsticks in stock when I was there a couple of days ago. So if you are still on a look out for one of the Wonder Woman lipsticks I recommend checking out the Pro store.

NOTW- OPI Black Shatter

I finally got my hands on OPI Black Shatter after constantly checking a few beauty stores in the downtown Toronto area for a couple of weeks. I tested it out a couple of times and both times I can't stop starring at my nails. The key to get a nice shatter effect is to use one stroke...so get enough polish on the brush for the entire nail but not too much because the shatter effect would not show up as much when is thickly applied. I purchase the OPI Katy Perry mini collection when it was first launhed since the store I went to didn't have the full size ones yet so I purchase the mini's. They are super small and cute. They look so super tiny next to the full size. The brush quailty isn't the greatest for the mini version. Is my first time purchasing mini nail polish from OPI so it does take a little getting use to...using a smaller applicator.

This is probably my all time fave blush. It is extremely pigmented and a little goes a long way. The packaging is just so pretty. Is it aluminium or some sort of metal packaging with the logo R&R on it. It is heavy compare to plastic compacts but is just so pretty you want to pull it out of your purse just to show it to your friends!! The packaging for the the entire compact is so adorable as well something really different compare to a square/ rectangle box instead is a circle glossy box. Back to the blush...it does come in quite a few colour selections but when I order minds from the R&R website there wasn't many left since it was during the 50% off cosemetic sale.

Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss- Peony

This is the second Revlon lipgloss I had tried, the first one was super lustrous one which I like. I've been using this lipgloss for about 3 weeks. Is been my go to lipgloss since I purchased it. The reason why I decide to buy it was because I lost my Relvon super lustrous lipgloss in pink pursuit which was my go to lipgloss for the past few months. I decided to give this a try and was a little hesitant a first because I hated the colorburst lipstick, well I'm not a fan of any Relvon lipstick they seem to be all misses for me even though a lot of bloggers and youtubers love them. It just doesn't work for me. Well this lipgloss is different....I like it just as much as I like the super lustrous ones. Pretty packaging like the color burst lipstick. Love how the formula is not super sticky! I find this lipgloss on the pricy side for a drugstore product. It goes for about $9-12cdn. They do go on sale for about $9cdn so if you want to try it out wait for a sale to purchase it.

1. Why did you create this blog?
I started this blog a little over a year and a half ago with the encouragement of a special person. I kept saying I should blog about food since I would take pics of all the foods I eat when I'm out but I ended up starting a blog on make up because I didn't really have anyone to talk about make up and I'm pretty sure the poor guy didn't have a clue what I was talking about to him. So thanks to this person I started this blog as a space to talk about things I like so I don't have to bore some people to death lol and to share my experiences with products to help others with deciding on products and yummy food places to try out. I haven't blog too much about food but I will be doing that more this year.

2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
I follow make up, fashion, food (recipes) and card making blogs. I like recipes type of blogs because that is where I go to when I'm looking to try new dishes or something I had but didn't know how to make.

3. Favorite make up brand?
My fave are Lancome which is my first high end make up line I started playing with. Which makes my all time fave mascara Hynose and eye makeup remover Bi-facil. I also like MAC and Shiseido for skincare.

4. Favorite clothing brand?
I like a lot of different brands for clothing. Pretty much anything that looks pretty and fits me will I would buy it. For premium demin my fave would probably be J Brand it fits so well and I love their super skinny because is the first pair of adult jeans I've ever own that did not need to be hemmed (i'm pretty short 4'11) so that makes me super happy!! Stores I like to shop at are Abercrombie, Hollister, Aritzia, H&M and at times I can find clothes that fit at Jacob, Zara and Banana Republic. I recently started liking the Gap again for one reason their premium slim crop pants. I love those pants to pieces I own 2 pairs and there is a new gray pair must get!!

5. Your indispendable make up product?
That would have to be my MAC select cover up and MAC studio fix powder which is what I normally use on a regular basis on my face. Have to cover up the imperfections before leaving the house.

6. What is your favourite colour?
Blue. I own a lot of things that are blue but I do not like to wear blue make up nor nail polish often.

7. Your perfume?
Currently I'm loving Marc Jacob Daisy.

8. Your favourite film?
Dispicable Me is such a cute film!! The Harry Potter series, I still cant' believe I didn't see the most recent one yet and miss out on opening day because I had to go to a friends bday thing :( I am one of those people who goes and line up to watch the Harry Potter movies and I've only read two of the books.

9. What country would you like to visit and why?
There are many places I would to travel to and see all the beautiful scenaries and sight seeing. Some of those places include: Japan, Paris, London, all around Europe and Asia pretty much sums it up. For American cities that I would like to visit are New York City, yes I have never been and is a must go (summer trip maybe??), Haiwaii, and California for Disney Land (inner child at heart).

10. Make up the last question and answer it
Which newly purchased make up item are you currently loving? Rock and Republic Contrived Pressed Blush!!! So super pigmented and the packaging is so beautiful. A special thanks to a wonderful person who pick it up for me. Review coming soon for it.

Update: Revlon Super Lustrous Coral Reef Lipgloss

For those of you who are still on the look out for Revlon Coral Reef there are still some left!! Check the display where you find the premanant line of the Super Lustrous lipgloss that is where I saw them. As of yesterday there are 2 left at Shoppers inside The Toronto Eaton Center. I aslo seen them at Bloor st. shoppers as well. Just a little update for those of you who are still on a hunt for them. This colour was launched last year in the United States for their spring collection. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one during the summer when I was in Seattle. I got mines at Walgreens and had seen them at Target as well during the summer of 2010. I think is the most popular and wanted lipgloss from this collection. I love the colour and I'm so happy that I was able to get a back up and the rest of the shades from this collection. Thanks to Emily from thiswasforever for her post on finding this lovely shade at Shoppers!!!

I haven't done a nail polish post for a long long time. I keep forgetting to take pics after doing my nails. I had never done nail art before besides Konad stamping. This is my first time doing nail art and it turn out alright and with more practice it will just get better I hope.

Sephora Freebie: Bare Minerals Trio

Just before the weekend I recieved an email from Sephora for a free Bare Minerals Trio in either Original SPF 15 or Matte SPF 15 finishes that are available in 4 different shades for the sample. So I went to the local Sephora on the day i recieved the email which was in the afternoon of that day. They only had the medium beige matte finish available which work out well for me because I didn't want the lighter shade nor the dark one. So I hope you ladies were able to get the sample from your local Sephora. For the Toronto ladies there is no more available at the Eaton Center and Bloor Street location according to a friend.

Stop Motion Vid

So far the holidays are better than I had expected it to be. I actually had a lot of fun and was super tired out from partying so late and boxing day shopping started in the early mornings as well. My first xmas alone had been a good one and I thank my friends and family for all being there and making me feel loved and all festive! I think I am finally caught up on my lack of sleep! Boxing day shopping was insane... but somethings new to experience since I haven't shop at the Eaton center on boxing day for a long time. Didn't buy any make up but some clothes.

Anyways to the point of this post. On the wee morning of xmas day while partying away drinking ice wine and brain storming. I helped my friends make this stop motion video. Donna did a wonderful job putting this video together! Can you believe is her first vid? I love the title and the voices is just so super cute!! I hope you guys enjoy this because the 3 (Donna, Suz and I) of us stayed up till 5:45am in the morning working on this and Donna didn't sleep the next day just to get this vid posted.

This year Christmas just isn't too festive for me since a lot of things happen thorough out 2010. I can say this is probably the worst year of my life so far but I'm not going to let it knock me down but make me stronger. Hopefully next year will be a better year for me. Anyways since I haven't been so creative this year I only made a couple of Christmas tags for my sis to give to her friends. I didn't make any Christmas cards and use store bought ones too much things to do this year. ahhh is almost over the stress is gone and I can sleep lol.

Coconut Macaroons for goodies bags for an Xmas party

Recipe: Coconut Macaroons

1 1/3 cup coconut flakes

1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoon all purpose flour
Pinch of salt
2 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Beat egg whites and salt until they peak then slowly add in sugar and vanilla extract. Fold in all the dry ingredients and spoon on baking sheet or small muffin tins. Bake at 325 degress for 20mins. Recipe makes 12 in small muffin tins. Drizzle melted chocolate on top for decorations.

EOS Lip Balm

EOS Lip Balms packaging are so cute to me. Is round and the plastic has a suede finish. It is a bit bulky compare to most lip balm packaging. Hey, I do love different and unquie packaging so i'm sold. They also have yummylicious scents as well that include: summerfruit, honeysuckle honeydew, sweet mint and the two new ones I haven't tried are lemon drop spf 15 and medicated tangerine. I would love to try the two new scents since the other three I tried and like. I don't carry them around in my make up bag since they are bulky but I do use them at home.

I got mines from Walgreens during my summer vacation and recieve one free from EOS website from the previous year which isn't picture since I gave it away. They retail for about $3-4 usd they do go on sale. I recently read that Shoppers Drug Mart started carrying them by their checkouts so for Canadians you don't need to cross the boarder to get them anymore! (for those who are wondering why I wanted to go to Target so badly during our shopping trip this is one of the reaons but we never got to a Target boo) I only been to one shopper since I read this but didnt' see any yet. Go check shoppers for them if you are interested. I'm sure by now they would have it in stock. The only down side of this lip balm for is when the dome shape starts to get flat which make it hard to use up the last little bit of the product.

This week I attend the Lisa's Cosmetics sale for the first time. At the sale they carry cosmetics by Smashbox (lots of discontinue items), Elizabeth Arden, Annabelle, Marcelle, and a small selection of Red Earth and a wide variety of Perfumes. They carry a lot of personal care items that you can find at the drugstore, socks, bags, sunglasses and some lindt chocolates. Pretty much a lot of goods in this huge warehouse that you can spend hours in. There is still a few days left before the sales ends. I heard from my friend Thomas that on the last day they discount items even more so they can clear the stock.

French Macarons from Lemon Tree

I love French Macarons! They are so pretty and so delicious as well. The first time I had them was from this bakery at Pike's Market Place in Seattle last summer and they were super delicious. A whole year later I'd finally decided to go look for them here in Toronto. Which is a good idea since I purchase them from 2 different places a few weekends ago but found one place that I really liked which is Lemon Tree. You can find Lemon Tree macarons at the St. Lawerence Market on Saturdays only. So for the past 2 Saturdays I was there just to get some french macarons well I didnt' make a special trip for it but I was downtown so might as well drop by kinda thing :) She sells out of macarons some times so go early to get the flavours you want or it would be slim pickings if you go by after noon. She normally has 6 different flavours and they run from $1.00-1.50 a piece.

I got this the first time I visited the stand. They were sold out of everything but a few Spiced pear flavours so I only purchase a few to try and one got squish in my purse.

My fave flavours so far are spiced pear and salted caramel. Salted caramel reminds me of my fave ice cream flavour from Molly Moon Ice Cream. I some how became a fan of salted caramel flavour things since I had that flavour ice cream at Molly Moon a few years back. Haven't done a nail polilsh post for the longest time. Not that I haven't been putting varnish on my nails but I just keep forgetting to take a photo of them and having bare nails for awhile as well. Anyways I wored this varnish last week for the spirit of Halloween. Also did a couple of Halloween looks as well but those pics are on my facebook page. China Glaze Midnight Mission is part of the Vintage Vixen collection that was launched for fall 2010. It is a really pretty navy blue white silver glitters. Theses glitters are not the chucky glitters but the really fine glitter that makes the polish look a bit foiled in pictures.

Last night I went to the MAC Venomous Villains Pre-launch event at The Toronto Eaton Center. It was a lot of fun and they serve yummy finger food and drinks as well. There was alot of people the line up to pay was longer than the line up to get inside. Good thing we were schedule to be inside at 8:30pm because it was a lot less busier than the earlier time since we got there early we just sat infront of the store to kill some time. It was a really fun experience and I would to go to more of these kinda events in the future!

Urban Decay Naked Palatte

I purchase this at Sephora Yorkdale in Toronto if you are wondering. They had 3 when I bought mines. This palette is another one of Urban Decay's most popular and high demand for palette. This is also my first palette from Urban Decay. I wanted the Alice in Wonderland one but it was sold out :( I'm so happy I was able to finally get my hands on one. I wasn't expecting to find it that day I wonder into Sephora but there it was and now is finally mines!!! (happy dance lol) I love this palette because I love neutrals which is what I wear all the time. Kind of boring I know...but hey is easy and goes well with everything. The Naked palette is part of the UD's permanent collection and according to the Sephora website they will be receiving more stock as they come available. Keep checking the website and the stores if you are still looking for one. It cost $55cdn or $44 usd boo that Canadians have to pay so much more for this when our dollar is almost at par w/ the usd.

I didn't do swatches since there are so many reviews for this paletter in the blog world already. Also sorry about the lighting is been pretty gloomy here the past few days. I finally played with this palette today after having it more than a week. It was just too pretty to dip my brush into. I don't like how the velvet box collects dust and eye shadow fall outs, wish it was another material instead. But the packaging is really nice aside from the down side of it. The shadows are really pigmented and the eyeliners are just so smooth and effortless to apply.

Sephora!!!

I finally found the Urban Decay Naked palette at Sephora Yorkdale location!!! To all my Toronto ladies who are hunting for the Naked palette keep checking your local Sephora for it. After my long hunt for it I finally got it. So super happy. Is just so pretty that I had it for about a week and still haven't use it. Finally took pics of it today so I might start using it real soon. While I was at Sephora I got my Bday gift which are all eye products...eye shawdow, eyeliner and masacra. I only tried the eye liner and hate it. Is a nice colour but the pencil is hard and you have to use so much effort to get it onto your eye lids. Another thing I receive from the Beauty Insider was the Benefit Crescent Row eau de toilette. It comes with 3 mini bottles of Garden of Good and Eva, Lookin' to Rock Rita and So hooked on Carmella.

Wow, so many post in one night. I guess this will make up for the time of me neglecting my blog. I'll try to post more often. Just been pretty busy lately. Anyways Happy Bday to all the September babies out there. Another intersting fact my dentist has the same bday as me and so is one of my friends.

Free Lipgloss

I'm not sure if this is over or still happening for tomorrow. At the Eaton Center lower level close to the Gap go to the Yaz counters where one of the ladies there will give you a piece of paper you enter that number and fill out this questionaire and then you get a free lipgloss. I did when they were giving away St. Ives facial scrubs. Well if you ladies are in the area and have time to kill doesn't hurt to check it out if is still there tomorrow. I haven't tried out the lipgloss yet so I can't do a review for you guys. The funny thing was when there was this guy he kept bothering the lady to let him have the lipgloss with out doing the questionaire. I didnt' stay to see what happen but it was pretty interesting. Maybe he was just interested in her or wanted a lipgloss for the gf or himself who knows.

Gap has a sale on their premuim black pants for womens and mens khakis for $45 reg. price is around $69.50. So hurry to a Gap near by if you are in need of some business attire pants for work or just to wear out. They feel pretty nice and they have size 00 in store!! Unfortunately the slim crop pants doesnt' have alot of sizes left so I had to other mines online :( I hope they fit, good thing they offer free refunds now that their Cdn site is up and running. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend. Is finally not so hoe here anymore ...is more on the chilly side now.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss

I figure I should make a post about this since the sale ends tomorrow. SDM is having a 3 day sale on Relvon lipsticks and lipgloss selected ones for $3.99 limit of 4. I only purchase one of them from this sale. I like how the lipgloss are not sticky like the MAC ones and doesn't have a strong scent to it. Even though Nars lipgloss has a weird scent to it they are still my fave lipgloss. Good thing is so cheap I won't care too much if I loose them while I'm out. The past month I lost 3-4 lip products that is almost a lippie a week. Hopefully I don't loose any this month because I hate being strand without a lip product it drives me nuts when my lips feel super dry.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss spf 15 in Pink Pursuit

The next Revlon lipgloss was purchase a while back when I was in Seattle. It was part of the limited edition lipgloss Revlon had out back in the spring and early summer. This is one of the 4 lipglosses. The Walgreen I went to still had them and I only pick up the coral reef one because after seeing swatches that was the one I wanted. I love this colour!!! Is is my lip colour for most of the summer. For some reason I just love coral this summer.

I haven't done a food review in ages and the ones I did in the past are all located in Seattle. Finally here is a Toronto base one. I love frozen yogurt it is one of my fave summer treats to have and all year round. Well I do love ice cream as well I think I like them just as much now. Especially ice cream from Molly Moon in Seattle. Oh how I wish they have something similar here!!! If anyone knows a good ice cream place in Toronto please comment below and thanks in advance!! There are plenty of fro-yo places in Seattle but not too many in Toronto until recently.

I had tried Cefiore here and in Seattle, it isn't really my fave place to go to. I like Blush Berry because they have mango flavour fro-yo and alot of fruit selections for toppings. I love fruit toppings which is what I normally get. The fro-yo at Blush Berry has the tarteness I like and the sweetness. I always have trouble picking what 3 toppings I want since there are so many selection. The decor is really modern with the colours pink and white. The outside has a little sitting area around 3 tables on a fake grass lawn. Pricing isn't too expensive, I find it similar to Cefiore and other fro-yo places. Is the first encounter I have in Toronto with a place using green utensils...wooden spoons!! They have different bins such as compost, recycling and trash. Is good to see that there are some establishments in Toronto trying to do their to keep the city more green.

Revlon Color Burst Lipstick - Soft Nude

When the Revlon Color Burst lipstick was launched in Canada I think sometime in June Soft Nude was extremely hard to find at drugstores in Toronto. Most stores I went to was basically sold out of this color or the package was opened. So, I end up purchasing this when I was in Seattle last month at Walgreens during their BOGO half off sale along with the Revlon Lipgloss spring limited edition Coral Reef which is another popular drugstore lip product. Which I will do a review on in another post. The Coral Reef lipgloss is so far my fave summer lip color. Now back to Revlon Color Burst in Soft Nude....

Pros
- beautiful packaging ( I love the diamond design on the black plastic package and the "revlon" inprint on the lipstick. It also has the shade on the cap so is easy to find which color you want from your stash)
- inexpensive if you are able to buy it when there is a sale (eg. bogo half off or free in the US or the 50% off lip product sale at rexall)
- it is pigmented and the color is buildable
- a sheen finish

Cons
- is not a nude that will fit everyone's skin tone ( I don't really like how it looks on me maybe because I normally don't wear nudes. This is my first nude lip product. A bit of pink lipgloss make it more wearable for me)
-it shows all the cracks and driness on the lips
-a little chalky to apply as well.

Rebuy? No, not a fan of this color and hate how it shows the driness on your lips. I may try a different color but definitely not Soft Nude again.

Facial Sprays

My new obsession for the summer months. Originally I started off with one and I saw a travel size one ...so, hey why not have one with me in my purse which lead to the second purchase. I always wanted the Evian one but it was so hard to find. Of course when I saw it at Winners (cdn version of tj maxx) I had to get it. Well I got 2 of them one in the bigger size which is in the picture and one a little bit smaller that I took on my trip to Seattle with me. All three of the sprays usage are smilliar. I like the Evian spray more than the others since it "mist" a lot better. I normally use it after I wash my face and then apply moisturizer, before and after make up application.

I aslo tried the H20+ one a few years back but never tried MAC Fix Plus yet. Which I do want to give that a try maybe after I use most of the ones I have first.

I've been back from Seattle for about a week now. It is so hot here!! I'm not use to this weather. I honestly miss Seattle's summer weather and Molly Moon Ice cream!!! Yes, I'm addicted to their ice cream and I crave for it all the time. So is a must go when I'm in the north west.

Might go check out Taste of the Danforth and the Asain Night Market by the waterfront this weekend. I missed out on all the summer stuff that happens in Toronto last year and part of this year so I'm excite to be able to enjoy the last of summer in Toronto even though I hate the heat. Urban Decay Naked Palette rant

Is anyone in Canada or Toronto able to find the Urban Decay Naked Palette??? According to Sephora's email it was suppose to be launched yesterday. Yet that did not happen because I check the Eaton center loaction and was told they had it in the back and I had to call back today. So, I woke up and called them and they said they never received it and after that I called a few more Sephoras none of them have it. Seriously this is getting frustrating. If I knew we aren't getting the palette in Canada I would of order it online when I was in Seattle when they had it in stock. Urggghhh!!!!

Sorry for the rant but I really really want that Palette since I use a lot of neurtals. Anyways I'm back from my lovely vacation so I'll try to do more reviews and updates soon. Just getting use to be back at home and some unpacking to do as well. Since I spent my first day back at the mall and some other personal errands.

Edit: Finally got a hold of the Naked palette!! So check your local sephora often or give them a call.

Update: Life in Seattle

So I had been in Seattle for a little bit more than a week now. The first half of the week had beautiful weather SUN!!! It was still fairly chilly compare to Toronto weather. I pack way too little warm clothes besides a hoodie, blazer and thin cardi's. Just incase you all don't know yet. I love cardi's I have a whole bunch of them in different colours and lengths. My sis loves to point it out to other people that I'm always wearing one besides the summer time cuz its just too hot. Well is been gloomy and chilly the past 2 days. Rain is what Seattle is known for. ahhhh go away can't you be like last summer when it was super hot out and people were lining up to get AC and fans??? During my journey here one of my Annabelle eyeshadows some how depotted itself from the metal pan and crack :( This is a first I'd seen. Half of that shadow has gone into the garbage and the other half is just sitting in the palette which will mostly break some more when I fly back home. oh well I can always buy another one or salvage it by potting it again.

I'm going to see Cirque du Soliel Kooza later in the afternoon. I already seen this before in Toronto 2-3 yrs ago but I missed the beginning because I was late since I had a driving test. Another note finally going shopping this weekend. Time to buy more things and still need to visit the japanese dollar store. Been eating a lot of food here so I'm at the gym 3-4 times a week. Seriously fruits here seem so much more bigger and sweeter for some odd reason. I'll try to get some pics ups of my lovely findings and maybe some food porn. Sorry for a pic less post since I haven't taken any pics lately.

I was wondering around Zellers some time last week and found we finally have Sally Hasen Complete Salon Manicure in Hidden Treasure in Toronto! When I first saw swatches of this I put it on my list of to get when I'm in the States. Anyways it cost $7.49 (10% off if you have SPC) I got the last bottle at my local Zellers they also have the other colours from this collection as well. Didn't pay much attention to them since this was the one I wanted and trying not to buy too much stuff since I'm leaving for vacation. Hope you ladies who are looking for this can find it at your local stores.

Is almost been a year since I was last in Seattle. In 2 more days I will be there again to experience the beautiful north west. Urghhh.. I hate packing!!! Is like you have to plan out all your outfits and what shoes and make up to bring. Sometimes I just wish my things would shrink to super small and when I get there I can make them big again. After I arrive in Seattle the bf and I are going to Vegas sometime in the middle of July. Seems like everyone in the blog world is going there and now I'm joining that group lol. I'll try to update as much as I can while i'm away. Hope everyone is enjoy the first day of Summer!!! Is a beautiful day outside. :)

MAC Cleanse Off Oil

I've been using this make up remover for about half a year now. Thank you Helen for getting it for my xmas gift. You only need 2 pumps of the product and mines is only less than a quarter used up!!! This bottles is definitely going to last me a long time. This is my first cleanse off oil I tried so I can't compare it to another product. It removes all my makeup even water proof eye make up and also the hard to remove maybelline 24hr foundation!! Maybe when I finish this one up I may try a different one but so far I'm liking it. I guess some could say is more pricey compare to other cleanse off oil such as kose and other asian brand ones. This has definitely been a part of my night skincare routine when I am wearing make up.

I just happen to be at the mall the day MAC launch their To The Beach collection. After seeing promo pics online I wanted the high-light powder the most and lucky me there was 8 left at the Eaton center location. I heard from the mua that it is sold out online so if you ladies want one hurry to a near by MAC counter and hunt them down!!

So far I use this as a blush and haven't use it for other purposes yet. the gold glitter is only on the top layer and after is rub off there is no more under it. I just love how summery and beachy it looks with the seahorse!

The reason why I was at the mall that day was to go to the RW&Co reopening shopping party. Which was an awesome shopping experience. Wine and food serve to you while you shop, 20% off and you get this swag bag as well. Oh how I can't wait to go to another shopping event. So we were suppose to take some pics but we started shopping and drinking that we totally forgot to do so. To make that day even more better was we had gotten tickets to the premier of Sex and the City 2 from milestones that monday from ordering the bellini special. Uber exciting day full of wonderful events!! The movie was really good as well. I think this one was better than the first movie. I won't spoil it for you ladies who haven't seen it yet.

I haven't post any NOTW's for ages since I haven't really been doing my nails. Giving them a rest from nail polish again and I sometimes forget to take a pic of them before they start to chip. I bought this nail polish probably a month and a half ago and I have been using it so much on my toes and hands. I have a few people complimenting on how pretty the colour is as well. This definitely my fave nail polish at the moment and one that I will be wearing a lot of this spring/summer.

Is that time of year again for Shiseido's Warehouse Sale that happens 2 times a year. The summer one is normally a lot more busy than the fall/winter one. The products are greatly discounted compare to department stores and sephora down side is a lot of ladies shoving and pushing to get the same products you want. Not sure if I will be going to this one since I still have a lot of products from last sale and from other purchases. Anyways here is the info for those who are interested.

Lip balms!

I'm having a lip balm obession lately hence why I purchase so many lip balms in such a short little time. The Aquafina ones are a repurchase because I used up the 2 packs I purchase last year and they are just so hard to find sometimes. I can only find them at walmart superstore. Too bad this pack isn't the all minty flavour one because I like those ones better than the fruit flavour ones but none the less still a good lip balm. I also pick up 2 Nivea lip balms since I never seen them in honey and milk, and strawberry flavour before. I tried the honey and milk one is not bad but not really a fave. Not really a fan of the lip balm texture. Lastly but not the least are 100% natural lip balms one by J.R Watkins and Burt's Bee. I'm currently using the J.R Watkins one and loving it. I bought the Burt's Bee as a replacement since if you buy the special package one they will donate a portion to saving oceans. So why not a good cause and a good lip balm.

Now I'm on a hunt for a good spf lip balm so my lips don't burn in the sun. Since they are fairly sensitive to the sun. I'm currenly using Soft Lips but at times I don't find it moisturising enough. So any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation

I've been using the foundation occassionally for the past month and a half. The shade I bought is 007 cool beige and I'm a NC30. I only use this occassionaly because I don't use liquid foundation on a every day basis and normally just use my MAC Studio Fix foundation powder. At first the colour was a bit too dark for me but as the weather got warmer it just works out fine. It does have a bit of pink undertone but is not noticable on me.

Price: $14-19cdn ( I bought mines onsale at Zellers w/ spc promo so it was only 14 they do go on sale so wait for it)

Pros:
- skin looks good in all lighting.
- has a pump
- spf 20 great for summer time
- feels really light and non greasy
- dewy finish with a light to medium coverage

Cons:
- a bit expensive for drugstore foundation
- not a lot of colours to choose from
- colour does transfer onto things your face come in counter with like most foundation.

Rebuy: yes probably in the shade medium beige.

top: squeeze out of bottle
bottom: blend in.

I read some reviews from other bloggers and youtubers that there is simmer in it. I guess they were that small that it took me almost of month of wearing this foundation I saw some simmer on my face. It really not noticable and it gives your face a lovely glow. You have to look really closely to see it. I like how light this foundation feels on my face and has a good coverage. Just use a bit of concealers to cover up some flaws and some setting powder (MUFE HD Powder) your face will look flawless and photo ready. I'm happy I gave this foundation second chance and there is now 2 drugstore foundations I like this one and the maybelline super stay 24hr make up. I noramlly don't buy drugstore foundations just stick with MAC and Shiseido.

1. I’m one who falls for every marketing scheme there is out there. When I was in school taking marketing classes I was like omg all these things do attract me to buying and trying new products. Pretty much if is something new I would go and buy it and try it. There are so many products I don’t like and there are some that I like and still buy. I do wonder sometimes why didn’t I just major in marketing instead.

2. I love shoes ever since I was a little girl I had a shoes addiction. Now I’m constantly buy all sorts of shoes from heels to flats to runners. Is only the end of April and I bought about 3 pairs of shoes already ahhhhh...i need shoes help lol.

3. I’m currently addicted to lip balms. I bought like a whole bunch the past few weeks which I will be posting about soon.

4. I don’t wear expensive earrings when I got get a haircut because 2 years ago I went to cut my hair I lost my diamond earring that was a gift from the bf . I called the salon and it was never found :( I was extremely sad and he bought me a new pair a few months later. The bf tells me all the time I can’t have anything pretty because of above and also I do keep loosing anything expensive or breaking them. I break a lot of jewellery.

5. I'm trying to keep a healthy lifestyle by adding exercise into my life again instead of sitting around at home. I'm doing jogging and yoga now. Which I quiet enjoy and want to try hot yoga some day soon.

6. I love Molly Moon Ice Cream in Seattle. I’m sure the bf and some other people around me would love for me to stop talking about molly moon so much and be less crazy about. Sorry people but i love their ice cream!!! Salted caramel you will be in my hands in June...i’m coming lol.

7. I travel to Seattle a few times a year or sometimes a couple because the bf move there a few years back for work. I love the west coast!! Is so beautiful the only part I hate about it is all the rain and how gloomy it gets. I can’t wait to be there for the summer and enjoy some delicious sushi and ice cream!!

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner

I've been neglecting my blog lately since I've been busy with other things. I do have a whole bunch of posts lined up just need some time to get around to it which will be up real soon. Anyways onto todays post....

I think this was release a month ago or a little bit more but I purchase it recently since most of the places that had it on sale were out of the colour I was looking for. I finally found it on sale at Rexall a few weeks ago for under $9 cdn before taxes and they had the colour I was looking for. The Maybelline Eyestudio Gel liner I bought was in Eggplant a dark purple colour. I didn't want a black one because I have the MAC one already and own a whole lot of black liners.

Pros:
- inexpensive compare to other gel liners such as MAC
- smooth application
- comes with a brush (I don't use the brush but good for those who doesn't already own a liner brush)
- packaging is good (glass jar and not plasitc)

Cons:

- only 4 colours to choose from black, grey, brown and purple

- may need to apply a eyeshadow primer for it to last longer and prevent smudging.

- a bit flakey

Rebuy? Maybe in a different colour such as the grey one.

Overall is a good inexpensive gel liner compare to MAC or Bobby Brown. Is a great starter kit for those who never tried a gel liner and want to test it out at lower price point. I read some reviews that is comparable to the the MAC Fluidline. For me I like the application of the Fluidline is better than the Maybelline one, I find it more smooth and a bit less flakey. I do like the MAC Fluidline a lot better but this is a good cheaper alternative to it and especially for a purple liner that I don't wear that often.

Update: Dec. 13, 2010. I would not rebuy this product again. It dried out pretty fast and just takes way too many strokes to get a dark line. I would recommend just buying the MAC one is more worth the extra $.

Annabelle

Annabelle is a Canadian drug store brand that can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart and some Walmarts. My first Annabelle purchase was a few years back when I purchase an khol eyeliner in 159 milkway. I did not like it at all since it would not show up on my tear ducts and waterline and the places with colour did show it look clumpy. So last month I decided to give Annabelle Khol eyeliners another try since there was a Facebook coupon for $2 off any Annabelle products and it was on sale at Shoppers for $3. So for $1 I purchase a few more and an eyeshadow as well. The other Khol eyeliners were not as bad as my first purchased. I like the 73 black and 115 black pearl the most, these 2 I would purchase again the others probably not because I found they were like the 159 milkway a bit flaky and needs many layers to show is true colour. For the Mono Eyeshadow I find they are like other drug store shadows needs a bit of layers, foiling or a primer gives a better colour pay off. The pan is the size of a MAC Eyeshadow and there are a small selection of colours to choose from. I'm planning on getting a few more colours but some Shoppers do lack selection and is a hunt for their new spring collection.

MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga

Happy Valentines Day / Chinese New year and the pink colour of this lipstick goes well with this lovely day. MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga is a blue-pink colour. Is a lustre finish so it could be worn sheer and buildable to a more vibrant colour. When I first saw swatch of the colour I though it was too pink for me but after trying it on in the store change my mind about it. Is a very wearable colour for any occassion since it could be worn sheer or layered to a more vibrate blue pink. The packaging is nice as well with Lady Gaga's signature on it and like all the other viva glam lipsticks the inside barrel is red which I love! So much prettier than the plain silver. I didn't pick up the other viva glam lipstick that was part of this promo because it was a bit too red for me.

My Beauty Diary Mask - Strawberry Yogurt

During the Christmas holiday I purchase three different My Beauty Diary Mask because I read so many positive reviews on them. I purchase mines at T&T Supermarket at the Warden and Steele location. They are sold in a box with 10 mask inside for about $12.99 reg price or if you get them when they are on sale they are about $2 cheaper. Only the T&T at Warden have these mask at $12.99 reg price compare to the Cherry St. location they are for $15.99 reg price. So if you live close to the Warden and Steele location or happen to be in the area purchase it from there instead it'll save you a few dollars. I think they are sold in small packages but I didn't really bother looking because I was in a hurry.

So far I only try the Strawberry Yogurt mask for about 3 weeks. I use the mask once a week. I choose to try the Strawberry Yogurt one first because my skin was just breaking out and is dry from the cold weather. Oh how I can't wait till winter is over.

Pros:
- smells good (smells like strawberries)
- not expensive
- made my skin less oily and less break out

Cons:
- mask is too big for my face ( then again I do have a pretty small face)
- doesn't moisturize

Overall the mask did help keep the break outs at bay and the t-zone less oily and it smells delicious. I would rebuy this item in the future but I think this mask is one of those limited edition ones because I don't see it on the My Beauty Diary website anymore. I will review the other 2 mask once I start using them.

Haven't post a nail of the week for a pretty long time since I haven't been taking pics of my nails and by the time I remember they're all chipped and ugly. Here is what I have on this week. Zoya Loredana Mat from the fall 2009 Matte collection. I love the colour but it doesn't stay on the nails long which is why I put on a seche vite top coat to keep it on longer. My laziness of doing my nails so many times a week. Therefore the matte look isn't there anymore but the glitter shows up a lot better with the top coat.

This is a super long over due post on the Xmas card I'd made in during the holidays. I made these after I wrote my xmas cards so only gave some away.

This is the stamps dear Vivian got me from a store inside Bellevue Square called Impress. Bellevue Square is probably my fave mall in Seattle and I always go there when I'm in Seattle but for the weirdest reason I don't ever recall seeing this store and is been there for awhile. I might had been too busy shopping for clothes, make up and shoes that I totally missed it LOL. Really odd but I will go check it out when I'm in Seattle again. She also got me chocolate truffles from Seattle Chocolates they were very delicious that I ate them and then think of taking a pic. So no pic because they went in my tummy and the bf's. Korres Naturally Defined Eyes Set

This is one of the items I bought from Sephora from the past 2 sales they had. The Korres Naturally Defined Eyes Set came with 5 full size eyeliners and a sample size mascara. This set was for $32.90cdn and $25usd. I only used the eyeliners so this review is only for the eyeliners. I'll review the mascara once I get a chance to test it out.

Pros:
- very pigmented
- has vitamin e
- glides on pretty smoothly

Cons:
- doesn't last very long
- not a lot of colours to choose from

I find the metallic colour liners are more smooth and easy to apply compare to the solid colours such as the black. It seems more hard than creamy. I read some reviews that they last all day but for me they don't they smudge when I used it on the bottom last line and if I don't use udpp on my lids it would smudge as well. I don't think I would repurchase the eyeliners because it just like any other eyeliner out there besides it has vitamin e and macadamia oil.

I finally did my nails after having them bare for 2 weeks. I found some Chi nail polishes at Winners. I never knew that Chi made nail polishes besides hair care products. They were for $2.99 so I pick up a nail colour and a base coat since I needed one.

Chi Ceramic Nail Lacquer in Passionate for my work and Chi Ceramic Base Coat.

So I use the 2 new polishes to test them out for my nail of the week. It has good pigmentation I only did 2 coats. Konad Image Plate M71, colour used for Konad is Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear in Silver Straits. Top Coat- Seche Vite.

Sorry for the lack of posting for the past week and had a lot of things to take care of. Can you believe it?? xmas holidays are approaching fast. Which means I need to start shopping real soon... hopefully this week. So exciting 17 more days till the bf is in town. It will be the first time in 2 years we are in Toronto for xmas. This nail of the week is one I had one a couple of weeks ago. For the past 2 weeks I've been wearing a really sheer pink that I normally use for french manicures Essie Mademoiselle which I didn't take a pic of since is just really natural looking nothing too exciting.

The flash made the pink less bright but it shows the gold glitters. This was one of my fave summer nail polishes.

Just because he's sexy, smart, charismatic and successful that doesn't mean you should date or marry him! Here's why what you've been looking for might not be the best thing to look for anymore.

Are you prioritizing finding a partner who is sexy, smart, charismatic, successful-in-their-field right now? If so, Charles Manson, Ted Bundy and Mussolini fit your bill — but trust me, that doesn't mean you should date or marry them.

In my book Prince Harming Syndrome, I share an article from The New York Times about the psychology of evil which included "The Psychopath Checklist." Criminal psychiatrists use this helpful list to test the potential of someone being a hardcore psychopath, capable of committing repeated evil and violent crimes. Guess which traits psychopaths share? Glibness, extreme charisma, the need to always be doing something, feelings of high self-worth, pathological lying, proneness to boredom and emotional unavailability.

To my amusement, all these adjectives also described my now ex-Prince Harming boyfriend, who was an adorably charismatic, fun, active, confident guy. But in the end, he turned out to be a two-faced cheater.

What's the love lesson learned? One of the top traits to look for in a partner is an appealingly strong character. Think about it for a moment. Good character values not only come in handy on a day-to-day basis, but during those eventual, inevitable times of conflict. If you and your partner do not value putting in the effort of acting with strong character values during times of disagreement, disappointment, stress, crisis, temptation, sadness, monetary-challenges, illness, vulnerability, misunderstandings — then your relationship will always suffer!

Indeed, John Gottman, the famed psychologist and researcher who runs The Love Lab, says he can predict how long a couple will last, not by studying how well a couple gets along, but by studying how well a couple doesn't get along. A relationship is only as strong as its weakest link — how a couple handles their challenges.

The good news: If you're involved in what my favorite philosopher buddy Aristotle called a "Relationship of Shared Virtue" — you will both want to deal with conflict by facing up to it with "strong character values" and viewing it as "a laboratory for growth."

Basically, you must accept right here — right now — if you are going to be in happily ever after love, then your relationship must have a duo function.

1. "Den of pleasure" — for fun, companionship, sex, laughter, etc. which you as a human need — so you can keep your soul alive with passion!

2. "Laboratory for growth" — the ultimate place of challenge for your soul to be nurtured to grow—where you inspire one another's "character development" — so you can both grow into your most esteemed selves - which is what Aristotle put forth was what true happiness was all about!

Unfortunately, many people solely view a relationship as a place to experience pleasure — leaving out the soul-ly aspects of love — where you nurture each other to grow!

In fact, when I ask the women I coach to describe what they're looking for in a partner, they always start off listing sexiness, funniness, smartness and wealthiness! But these are all personality traits — and pleasures of the body and ego — not character values which nurture the soul/core self.

If you want to "live happily ever after in love" you must prioritize finding a man who:

1. Values growing as a person

2. Truly understands a relationship serves the double function of "den of pleasure" and "laboratory for growth"

After all, if your partner doesn't value growth, he won't be ready to deal with non-fun, inevitable conflicts in a high integrity way. As a result, when those aforementioned disagreements, disappointments, stresses, crises, temptations, sadnesses, monetary-challenges, illnesses, vulnerabilities and misunderstandings arise, your relationship will suffer. Or worse, your partner will run for the hills — end of story, end of relationship.

You know what's funny? How we all know that embracing strong character values really does matter in life and love. Yet, our world mostly offers relationship tips like: "Buy these sexy clothes!" "Be more successful!" "Tighten your buns!" Nobody ever comes out and says: "Yo! Value good strong character values in yourself and others!"

I suppose that's because it takes more time, effort and patience to work on strengthening one's character values — and to truly understand another person's inner character — than it does to quickly buy a superficial new sexy outfit, or share a leisurely romantic candlelit dinner. Hence why you must prioritize getting to know a guy's inner character up-front — before you drop your guards — or even your panties. Yes, if you want to live happily ever after with a man, it's essential you prioritize strong character values over strong biceps.

Remember, it's called "finding a soul mate" not "finding an ego mate"! And if you're going to connect soul to soul, you must take the time to see your partner's soul and feel safe enough to reveal your own soul. For this feeling of safety to occur, you must trust your partner's integrity. Take the time to find out if your partner values embracing empathy, listening, direct communication, honesty, loyalty and growth. After all, a guy's character will always be the determinant behind his choosing to be naughty or nice — thereby making you feel sad or happy.

Think about all those fabulous Prince Charmings in fairy tales. What makes a Prince Charming truly "Princely"? Prince Charmings are made of good strong character. They're noble, kind and generous with good deeds. Plus, they support a Princess in becoming liberated, so she can venture forth to become her fullest royal potential.

Meanwhile, evil Prince Harmings are just as good-looking, rich and charismatic as Prince Charmings. A Prince Harming's huge difference is the one spotted within his spotty character. Prince Harmings suffer from major character defects which create scenarios to torture and imprison a Princess.

Meaning? Although you might feel as if you're experiencing love at first sight with a Prince Harming, what you're really experiencing is infatuation at first sight — because all you're simply crushing on is this man's superficial self, not his superinsidehim self.

All of this leads me to a very important question: Do you really prefer to place a higher value on a guy's superficial aspects (his sexiness, funniness, smartness, wealthiness) more than you value his superinsidehim self (his character, his soul)?

If so, then there is a big danger you will wind up involved with a guy who's rude, angry, dishonest, disloyal, hurtful, non-communicative, unempathic and selfish! As a result, all of his inner bad qualities will make you feel unhappy, insecure, unsafe, frazzled, neurotic and totally crazy. Your love life should not be your suffering life. The number one reason to spend time with a guy is that he makes you feel happier and he is improving your life.

I used to look at a cute, funny, charismatic guy and think: "Yum, yum! I want him!" Now I know better. Now I look at loving, happy couples — watch the happy, healthy dynamic between the guy and girl — and think: "Yum, yum! I want that!"

True love is a that — not a him. True love is not a wish list but a "wish feeling." And the number one feeling — even before the feeling of love — is the feeling of safety. Without feeling safe, you will never feel true love. You must have trust in your partner's character and prioritize finding a partner who is honest, communicative, and empathic — someone who values growing — so you can feel safe to vulnerably be your truest core self with him — and then together the two of you can support one another to grow into your best possible selves.

Shiseido Warehouse Sale Purchases

We arrive at the sale around 7:30-7:45am and there were a whole lot of people infront of us. The lady who was letting us into the sale told us the earliest person to arrive was at 4am!!! From previous sales I've been to this time around there were alot more men in the lines. I guess because their other half made them go or they want the men skincare products from Shiseido which they have alot more of this time around as well. Seriously there were so many crazy women who was pushing and shoving to get skincare products. Good thing there were lots of products lying around in boxes that people don't want anymore and that is where I got my skincare products. There are so much more NARS products there this year and of course perfume and shampoo and conditioner.

I'm still trying to get use to this weeks nail polish. Since last week was black and now is pink and all so girly looking nails. This is my first try on the gradient nail look. I'm quite happy with the outcome. so super glittery which doesn't really show in the pic.

Aquafina Hydrating Lip Balm

I'm assuming this is a new product because I have never seen this before and also on the packaging it says "new". I bought this at Walmart for $3 well it was $2 and some change for 4 lip balms which is a good deal since normally I pay that much or even more for one. I read reviews on a different Aquafina lip balm on other beauty blogs and when I was in Seattle I couldn't find it at the drugstores, Target and Walmart so when I saw this I had to try it. The lip balm contains jojoba oil, almond oil and vitamin E. It is very hydrating that it keeps my lips moist but the only down side is that it doesn't have spf. I hope they make one with spf and it would be my fave lip balm replacing Soft Lips.

Comes in 4 flavours: raspberry, citrus breeze, wild berry and the bonus one is unsented.

Essie Angora Cardi (fall 2009 collection) 2 coats and seche vite top coat.

This nail polish chip so fast. I wore it for a day and by the end of the night it already chipped :( The polish in the bottle look more of a dark mauve pink to me but in when is on my nails it more purple than pink. Havne't done any konad nail art for awhile been pretty lazy with my nails lately.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I haven't posted any updates lately since I've been pretty busy this long weekend and also feeling a bit tired theses days which is probably due to the gloomy cold weather. Oh how I miss summer already! I pick up the new jacob lipgloss that a portion of the purchase goes to help breast cancer. Which I'll post pics of it later on tonight or in the next few days. This is the first necklace I'd made. I made this while I was in Seattle visiting the bf. So this is one of the things I did to keep myself occupied while he is at work besides shopping away.

Now of course there would be a first necklace made in good old Toronto. Which is now my current fave because I just love the starfish pendant and the bluish green colour. This reminds me of our visit to the Seattle Aquirium. Memories of my wonderful summer in the west coast. I just love adding hearts to every necklace I've made so far.

Going to try making pearl necklace and braclets next with swarovski pearls and crystals hopefully they work out since is so hard for me to find bracelets to fit my small wrist.

Food in Seattle Part 1

I have been back from my long summer vacation for about 3 weeks now and I am seriously missing Seattle and the bf! People in Seattle are so much more polite compare to people in Toronto, they say "excuse me" when they walk infront at the store aisles! I'm still feeling a bit weird to be back home probably because I've been gone so long. Since I love eating yummy food so much, Seattle does not disappoint. There is one thing I was looking for when I was at the grocery stores is tart shells. I can't seem to find it at any of the stores. I look for it at Safeway, Albertson, Tops and QFC no luck at any of theses stores. So anyone reading this from Seattle if you can tell me where you can buy frozen tart shells please let me know where. Thanks in advance. Anyways here are some of the places I've eaten at in Seattle from my many visits there. I can't wait to go back hmmm maybe xmas or the beginning of next year??

MollyMoon's Ice Cream

Coffee and Salted Caramel (my fave!!)

I forgot to take a picture of the ice creams before we start eating them. They were so delicious it is absolutly my favourite ice cream place to go to. I crave for it all the time. I even wish they have something similar here.

Molly Moon's Ice Cream is made with organic dairy and local Washington products. They have seasonal flavours and their regular flavours. The waffle cones are delicious which I had the last time I went there but didn't take a pic of it since I've been craving Molly Moon for about half a year so I just had to indugle into my beloved ice cream! They are really environmentally friendly by using compostable bowls and spoons. There is 2 locations one in Wallingford and one in Capitol Hill which I haven't been to yet. The flavours I've tried and like them all are my fave salted caramel!!!, thai ice tea (summer flavour), birthday cake and coffee. The ice cream is extremely flavourful and rich and creamy.

Paseo Caribbean Restaurant

This place I found by luck when I was searching for a place to eat on yelp. The sandwiches here are so good. I can understand why there are so much people waiting in line just to get one of these delicious caribbean sandwiches. They are so popular that they would sell out of the sandwhiches so check the website to see which location still has the item you want before you head on down. This is definitely a place I need to go visit again the next time I'm in Seattle.

The sandwiches are really messy to eat so you need a lot of napkins and they do give you a big stack of napkins don't give some of it back because you will need it all. I've been to the Fremont location and seating is really limited. So we took the sandwiches home to eat which was probably a good idea since is so messy to eat. Both of these sandwiches are delicious and I do recommend them. Another must go to eat place in Seattle.

It is also great for keeping your lips moist with a hint of colour while your out jogging or at the gym. I personally love lip balm because I hate having dry lips during the summer and winter months so I never leave home with out one in my purse.

Pros:

- natural and 95% organic

- keeps lips moist

- contains no parabens or phthalates
- has 6 different colour choices to choose from when purchase individually.

Cons:
- there is no spf. Which is a big reason to why I'm not going to buy this again since my lips get burn in the sun easily during the summer.

I notice a week after I bought mines Target in Redmond had them on clearance for $3.49 and I found them at another Target in Factoria for even cheaper $2.99. So sad I could of waited a few more days and gotten them on sale. So if your in the Seattle area and want these lip tints go check out your local Target or go to the ones above to get them. Hopefully they are still in stock there wasn't many left at the Factoria location.

Pros:

- really moisturising

- sheer colour

- smells nice if you like cherry flavour things

- not extremely shiny like lip gloss but still has a hint of shine

Cons:

- as I recall when the packaging didn't state that it was a tinted lip balm

- it is a bright red so some people may not like the red but is really sheer

- no spf

I would probably try out the other Nivea lip care product since this it the first Nivea lip balm I tried.

Necklace made by me

While I was in Seattle for the summer I started making jewelry. This is the third necklace I had made so far. Still waiting for more material that I order online to come so I can make more pieces. Jewelry making is my new hobby and so is card making. I'll post more of the pieces of jewelry I made and cards later but for now is the current necklace I'm wearing at the moment.
